Darbs sniedz īso teorētisko posmodernisma filozofijas analīzi, tā ietekmi literatūrā, kā arī tās varoņu identitāti. Praktiskā darba daļā iekļūst varoņu personības identitātes analīze postmodernisma ietekmes procesā. Kā bija secināts analīzas laikā, varoņu identitāte P.Ostera romānā „Ilūzijas grāmata” ir ļoti mainama.
